For the science minded…
Here is more information about my training process, along with what it is based on, as well as clinical research about some aspects of what I offer..
I’ve used NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) throughout my training programs, from helping clients overcome debilitating mental & emotional issues, to developing new skills in many areas.
NLP is simply a toolkit for modeling success, and has been used in many fields, from psychiatric treatment to education and more. In my own work, I use NLP to both treat people’s emotional states including many mental disorders, as well as to model and teach success in conscious manifestation, new skillsets, and many avenues of self-mastery.
Some people think NLP is a “pseudoscience”, because “there’s no proven studies on NLP”. On the contrary, often they just don’t know how to look.
Finding research on NLP in regards to treatment of PTSD, one of the mental disorders I treat, is made complicated by the fact that, as NLP is simply a toolkit, typically it is a single NLP-based technique which is studied, and the name of the technique I use has been changed a few times, as shown in some research below.
The method I use has been commonly called VKD (Visual Kinesthetic Dissociation), as well as RT (Rewind Technique) or RTM (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories).
I use the original fast phobia and trauma removal VKD technique, combined with Timeline Therapy and Re-Parenting. This combination provides reconsolidation of the traumatic experiences through several steps, along with adding new, positive healing beliefs and internal cognition. Typically, PTSD treatment can take 1-3 sessions. The worst case of C-PTSD I’ve addressed took 4 sessions.
After the initial treatment session, clients are educated about how their brains work in regards to processing traumatic events, including how the above PTSD treatment works, as well as how brain plasticity plays a role in the healing process.
Beyond proper processing of traumatic memories, people are still physically habituated to the biochemical emotional responses produced by their PTSD – whether those are fear/anxiety, anger, depression, etc. As a result, simply treating PTSD in itself, while helpful, does not ensure a full recovery, rather, the biochemical habituation also needs to be addressed.
In order to address the biochemical habituation, clients are guided through creating new emotional states, and instructed how and when to practice these new states, in order to strengthen the neural pathways leading to experiencing these preferred emotional states.
Practicing the new emotional states takes approximately 2-5 minutes, and should be done a minimum of 3x/day, plus whenever they begin to experience the unwanted habituated emotional responses. This practice will be most intense in the first week, slowly tapering off over the course of treatment.
My approach to practicing emotional states in order to develop Emotional Mastery in 30 Days™ is based on research by neuroscientist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, who discovered that it takes approximately 90 seconds for the biochemistry of an emotion to fully flush from our physiology. I hope to someday have the necessary funding & research team to generate a large scale study of my own combination of techniques, in order to deliver a new protocol for treatment to the VA as well as domestic abuse and other trauma survivors. Until then, I offer a money-back guarantee on the results of my Emotional Mastery in 30 Days™ program, as well as my Level Up! Stage 1: Your Mind program.
Much love,
Goddess Nadine
